I’m a Linux newbie using Ubuntu 21.04. I’ve been using the Parted Magic live USB and Clonezilla to make clones and images of my main ext4 drive. I’m making the clones and images to external USB connected drives. If I understand correctly, the creation of these clones and images happens when the main (source) drive is not mounted.
I recently heard of FSArchiver and QT-FSArchiver. I was told that FSArchiver can make a bootable clone of an ext4 partition when that partition is mounted and running (as long as there’s no software updates during the cloning process).
Anyone here ever use FSArchiver to successfully make a bootable clone of a mounted and running ext4 partition? How did it go? Able to restore it?
