Hey Network!
I have a FreeNAS Mini I finally got working again (some weird network issue) and I’ve got my pools set up (no data yet).
I need to create shares so that everything else on my network can access this server. I’m asking for advice because the last time I set this up, I apparently made some mistakes and had issues getting things to be seen and/or accessed.
I need Samba shares as I have one Windows computer I’ll want to back up to this box. I’d like NFS shares (they are faster aren’t they) for my Linux boxes to access as well as my nVidia Shield to access media.
I’d prefer to do this without users (if available) but I’m up for adding users if that makes things make more sense!
